India Fashion Summit 2013, organized by India
Federation for Fashion Development (IFFD), was a glittery evening; an
amalgamation of fashion show, award ceremonies, seminars…. adding oomph,
glamour and glitz to the whole episode. This fashion show was one that would be
vividly remembered for its ostentatious presentation.
Fashion
designers who participated this year were: Rajdeep Ranawat, Samant Chauhan,
Amit Talwar, Apeejay School, Lotto (brand), Siddarth Tytler, Rosy Ahluwalia,
Sanna Chandna, Kailash, Deepika Chandna, Sumit Das Gupta and Swati Mehrotra.
Indian
Fashion Summit 2013 played host to a fashion show where innovation and
creativity in the territories of clothes, jewellery and shoes were clearly
discernable…… Young and promising fashion designer Sanna Chandna showcasing her
collection of contemporary Indian Wear with the theme “Female Empower – just
recognize it” which was also the theme of this year Indian Fashion Summit. …
The theme of this year collection was based on the power the women have but which
she don’t recognize it….. helping the women to make them look better and
powerful.
Many
people from the fashion and entertainment fraternity graced the occasion with
their presence. Rohit Bal (Fashion Designer), Raashid Alvi (Politician),
Sangeeta Bahl, Menakshi Dutt Sood, Alka Lamba(Social Activist), Shalini Kochar
and several other who’s who of Indian fashion firmament were present at the
occasion.
Apart
from Sanna , some of the other renowned Fashion Designer who showcase their
creativity and talent were Rajdeep
Ranawat, Samant Chauhan, Sumit Das Gupta and Amit Talwar and many more….. Amit Talwar of Adonize, in association
with Apala Jewellery by Sumit Sawhney, displayed `Sawariya - Pure Eternal
Love`, his collections…… Amanpreet Wahi walked as showstopper for Sagarika
Mittal Goyal, who launched her winter festive collection `Mohini`….. Rosy
Ahluwalia showcased her `Peacock Collection` at the Summit. …..Rajdeep
Ranawat collections reflect sensitivity, poetry, light art and above all
perennial glamour….. A bevy of models
walked the ramp and displayed the collection, each ensemble of which reflected
finesse of craft while retaining its authenticity …..Many shades of red, blue,
green and turk are visible on the runaways.
The
summit attracted a very diverse demographic – from fashion designers, make-up
artists and hairstylists to fashion industry students, diplomats, socialites,
fashion conscious people were all seen at the summit with a common passion – a
passion for innovation and creation in the realm of fashion.
